October, 2017 The students have arrived!! A er many months of recrui ng, preparing the property, seeking teachers, researching, praying, listening, discussing and deciding, we have officially opened “LaHuerta School of Missions”! We have 7 students from various parts of Mexico who have come to spend a year preparing their hearts and minds to serve God with all they are in the expansion of the KIngdom of God here in Mexico and around the world! We are excep onally grateful to various people:
The churches and families who have entrusted us with their young people. YUGO Ministries leaders Sco and Nathan for sharing the vision and passion for this and inves ng me, energy and finances into this project Calvary Chapel Bible College in Mexico for promo ng this “3rd year” type ministry to their students. All “La Huerta” staff who have worked relessly over this last 8 months to get the program and place ready to receive students. I am privileged to serve an incredible team. Calvary Chapel La Paz church who is embracing and loving the students and staff well. You our supporters for enabling us to serve this way. This fruit is your fruit!
The School is a 10 ½ month intensive training course in missions and pastoring. It is a unique mix of prac cal training, personal discipleship, dynamic teaching, and on the field experience that we are praying will prepare people well for Kingdom Work. This course is open to Bible School Grads‐ or excep onal, gi ed people with Kingdom poten al and excellent church discipleship. Star ng in January we will be providing a course for mature students who do not have formal Bible College training but have a strong and obvious calling to ministry and excellent discipleship and only lack the prerequisite for our training. It will be a 6 month intensive Bible College‐like course that we have used over the years in training pastors and leaders. We have 3 students registered and have room for 4 more. They will form the basis of 2018’s missions trainees, God willing. We are excited to be at this point and are very thankful for you our supporters and partners in this ministry! We have some development projects that will be happening both in “La Huerta” and Calvary Chapel La Paz over the next few years that we would love to have you come down and personally help in! God bless and keep you all, 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
