Gem Show Traffic January 27, 2017 The Tucson Gem & Mineral Show is now upon us and is as much a part of Tucson as hiking, mountains, and sunsets. This international show draws thousands from all around the state, country, and even the world. With all those extra people trying to get to the same areas, traffic can become a problem. Help us make this year’s Tucson Gem & Mineral Show the safest yet. Whether you’re a vender, collector, rock hound, bargain hunter, or first timer we ask you to carpool to the event locations if at all possible. During this time, Country Club Road becomes extremely busy. Everyone who will not be attending the gem show, please avoid Country Club Road between Irvington Road and Ajo Way. This will help with traffic congestion and potentially lower the number of traffic related issues seen during the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. Remember, there will be people walking from one event location to another. Take extra care and watch out for pedestrians. Enjoy your treasure hunt and drive safe!
