MONAHANS-WICKETT-PYOTE ISD Goals & Objectives 2015-2016 Goal 1: Based on accountability ratings determined by the Texas Education Agency, Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will Maintain the “Met Standard” rating at the district level; and, all campuses will maintain or improve to this same rating for the 2015-2016 school year. Performance Objective 1: All student populations will meet and/or exceed the state adopted mastery levels on all sections of state assessments. Summative Evaluation 1: All campuses, as well as districtwide, will meet all federal and state standards for the 2015-2016 school year.

Goal 2: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will identify students who meet the requirements for special populations and provide programs and services to address their educational, social and emotional needs. Performance Objective 1: Special needs students (At-Risk, SPED, ELL, Gifted/Talented, Dyslexic, Pregnancy-Related, Behavioral, Homeless, Section 504 and Migrant) will be identified throughout the year, following state and federally mandated timelines, and will be provided appropriate programs. Summative Evaluation 1: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD, as well as all district campuses, will meet all federal and state standards for the 2015-2016 school year.

Goal 3: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will require all students to attend school consistently in order to achieve academic success. Performance Objective 1: The percentage of student attendance will remain above 95%; seeking to achieve 98%. The dropout rate will remain below 1% and the completion rate will remain at 97% or better. Summative Evaluation 1: Data provided through TAPR, Federal Focus/Priority and PEIMS will show that participation rates are within the acceptable range for all student groups.

Goal 4: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will have positive, productive parental and community involvement at the district level, as well as on every campus. Performance Objective 1: Positive, productive involvement will be measured by recorded counts of all parent participants at each campus activity, including committee meetings.

MONAHANS-WICKETT-PYOTE ISD Goals & Objectives 2015-2016 Summative Evaluation 1: Positive parental involvement will increase by 3% at each campus measured by parent participation documentation.

Goal 5: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will have open, accessible communication between students, employees and parents to ensure a disciplined, safe environment on every facility within the district and at all school activities. Performance Objective 1: Parent and community survey data will reflect that safe and secure schools are maintained throughout the district, as well as at district activities, at a rate of 90%. Summative Evaluation 1: 100% of parental and community concerns about safety and security will be addressed in a timely manner.

Goal 6: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will provide every student the opportunity to use technology to aid in their academic growth. Performance Objective 1: All teachers will demonstrate the use of technology integration in the classroom as observed through classroom observations and lesson plans documented by PDAS. All students will be afforded the opportunity to utilize technology as part of their daily education. Summative Evaluation 1: Teacher and student usage of technology will increase at every campus. Teachers will utilize technology integration as measured by PDAS Domain 2, Indicator 9.

Goal 7: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will develop a long-term plan for improvements to efficiently utilize and maintain all district facilities. Performance Objective 1: Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD will maintain safe and orderly facilities for all visitors, community members, parents, students and staff. Summative Evaluation 1: Maintenance records will reflect that 100% of all district facilities have been maintained in an efficient and timely manner.

Summative Evaluation: Career education will be provided to assist students in developing the knowledge, skills and comprehension necessary for a broad range of career opportunities.

MONAHANS EDUCATION CENTER Goals & Objectives 2015-2016

Goal 1: Monahans Education Center will improve to the next level of ratings on Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies sections of the state assessment. Performance Objective 1: All Students enrolled in the MEC for two consecutive years will pass the TAKS/STAAR EXIT LEVEL EXAM by the year 2017. Summative Evaluation 1: The MEC will meet federal and state standards by the year 2015 and will maintain our current level of rating (Met Standard) in the state assessment program for the 2015-2016 school year.

Goal 2: Monahans Education Center will identify students who meet the requirements for special populations and provide programs and services to address their educational, social and emotional needs. Performance Objective 1: By identifying students, the MEC will strive to improve the dropout rate from the previous year for each student group. (All students, African American, Hispanic, White, and Economically Disadvantaged) Summative Evaluation 1: The MEC will improve the dropout rate to below 20% for the 2014-2015 school year.

Goal 3: Monahans Education Center will require all students to attend school consistently in order to achieve academic success. Performance Objective 1: During the 2015-2016 school year, Monahans Education Center will achieve and maintain a 90.0% attendance rate. Summative Evaluation 1: PEIMS data will show an increase in attendance rates; Court records and legal documents will be filed. Attendance incentives will be provided to all students.

Goal 4: Monahans Education Center will strive to have positive, productive parental and community involvement. Performance Objective 1: Positive, productive parent involvement will be measured by recorded counts of all parent participants at each activity including committee meetings. Summative Evaluation 1: At least 75% of our students’ parents will attend Title I meetings and Parent Report Card Days.

MONAHANS EDUCATION CENTER Goals & Objectives 2015-2016 Goal 5: Monahans Education Center will have open, accessible communication between students, employees and parents to ensure a disciplined, safe environment. Performance Objective 1: During the 2015-2016 school year, the Monahans Education Center will implement the following means in order to provide for a safe, disciplined environment: a Student Code of Conduct and a school charter with enrollment policies. Summative Evaluation 1: Evidence of a safe and disciplined environment; Evidence of a plan being implemented; and a decrease in the Supervised Alternative Classroom assignments.

Goal 6: Monahans Education Center will provide every student the opportunity to use technology to aid in their academic growth. Performance Objective 1: Students coming to the Monahans Education Center will graduate with their cohort group or earlier. Summative Evaluation 1: The curriculum used at the Monahans Education Center will be 95% online and self-paced to promote credit recovery.

Goal 7: Monahans Education Center will develop a long-term plan for improvements to efficiently utilize and maintain the facility. Performance Objective 1: The Monahans Education Center will remain a safe and orderly facility for all visitors, community members, parents, students, and staff. Summative Evaluation 1: Maintenance records will reflect that the campus facilities have been maintained in an efficient and timely manner.

Goal 8: Monahans Education Center will provide their students with knowledge about the characteristic traits of citizenship, responsibility, pride and respect for their peers, school employees and school facilities. Performance Objective 1: Monahans Education Center will promote citizenship and provide presentations on campus that include collegiate and technical and career schools. Summative Evaluation 1: Monahans Education Center will show an increase in responsibility and completed post-secondary applications from students.

Goal 4: Cullender Kindergarten will have positive, productive parental and community involvement. Performance Objective 1: Positive, productive involvement will be measured by recorded counts of all parent participants at Cullender Kindergarten, including committee meetings. Summative Evaluation: Positive parental involvement will increase by 3% at Cullender Kindergarten measured by parent participation documentation.

CULLENDER KINDERGARTEN Goals & Objectives 2015-2016 Goal 5: Cullender Kindergarten will provide disciplined, safe environments conducive to learning at all times, as well as safety and security at all campus activities. Performance Objective 1: Parent and community survey data will reflect that Cullender Kindergarten is a safe and secure school at a rate of 90%. Summative Evaluation: 100% of parent and community concerns about safety and security will be addressed in a timely manner.

Goal 6: Cullender Kindergarten will provide every student the opportunity to use technology to aid in their academic growth. Performance Objective 1: All teachers will demonstrate the use of technology integration in the classroom as observed through classroom observations and lesson plans documented by PDAS. All students will be afforded the opportunity to utilize technology as part of their daily education. Summative Evaluation: Teacher and student usage of technology will increase at this campus. Teachers will utilize technology integration as measured by PDAS Domain 2, Indicator 9.

Goal 7: Cullender Kindergarten will develop a long-term plan for improvements to efficiently utilize and maintain all campus facilities. Performance Objective 1: Cullender Kindergarten will maintain safe and orderly facilities for all visitors, community members, parents, students and staff. Summative Evaluation: Maintenance records will reflect that 100% of all campus facilities have been maintained in an efficient and timely manner.

Goal 8: Cullender Kindergarten will provide their students with knowledge about the characteristic traits of citizenship, responsibility, pride and respect for their peers, school employees and school facilities. Performance Objective 1: All students will participate in curriculum relevant to becoming a positive, productive community member. Summative Evaluation: Discipline referrals at Cullender Kindergarten will not increase over last year. Parental and community participation will be documented at each campus.

Summative Evaluation: Campus records will show that 100% of instructional professional and paraprofessional employees meet highly qualified standards.
