September 18, 2017 To Whom It May Concern I am writing to recommend Cassandra Ornelas to receive the California State PTA Continuing Education Scholarship for School Nurses. Cassandra has worked as a School Nurse at Monecito Union School District for five years and as a school nurse for 20 years. During her time at Montecito Union, she has become well known in our community as an exceptional nurse, a caring individual and an incredible problem solver. The children love visiting Nurse Cassandra because she is always kind and generous, her demeanor and bedside manner are exceptional. Whether it is a scraped knee, loose tooth or assistance to the children in our community with more serious health issues, nurse Cassandra always treats students with the utmost respect, care kindness and professionalism. She is a nurse who is as compassionate and professional. She has been able to handle all of our medical emergencies and difficult health care scenarios with the highest level of care and has always shown her talent and expertise. It is very reassuring to the parent body to know that we have Nurse Cassandra at Montecito Union School providing care on school premises in the event of emergencies and performing screenings. Nurse Cassandra is a tremendous asset to our school and I hope that you will grant her the scholarship she has applied for so that she can continue expanding her knowledge base to benefit the children in our school.
