There are 2 very special blocks this month Block 38: Sonja named for my Mom, and Block 36: Elly although named for someone else is also my Mom’s middle name. My Mom Sonja Elly (Lasczig) Marek is an amazing person with incredible talent. Although she says she’s not creative, if you give her a task she will give you back the most incredible workmanship. When The New Hexagon was about to be published some friends decided she needed a book as well and this little book, a tribute to her and her work was born.
