Moorpark Little League Board Meeting January 28, 2018 Meeting called to order at 9:39 am AttendeesRobin Hodge, Mike Busickio, Andrea Nevitt, Eddie Montano, Roy, Oliver, Jon Concepcion, Christina Gonzalez, Ron Huerth, Mike Lucente and Nikki Sinutko
2018 Local Rules: Machine PitchIf the Batter is unable to put the ball into play after THREE pitches, a batting tee will be used and the Batter should be allowed TWO attempts to put the ball in play. If the batter fouls off the third strike he will be allowed one more pitch before proceeding to the batting tee. If the Batter is unable to put the ball in play off the batting tee, the Batter is considered to have fouled out. Nikki make a motion to approve. Roy seconds. All approve. Pitching & Catching-
Major, Minor Division. If a player has caught 3 innings and then enters to pitch, he may not return and catch again. A player that has pitched may only catch 3 innings total for that game.
FarmBeginning Saturday, April 7, 2018 batters transition to walk on ball 4.
All Stars-
All players MUST participate in 75% of games in order to be eligible for All Stars. Motion made by Ron to approve. Andrea seconds. 2 Appose, 8 approve.
UniformsDeo Volente Industries gave a quote of $8.00 per shirt with 60th Anniversary logo on it and $15.00 for hats. Would like to propose to buy 50 each of small, medium, large, xl and xxl. Women’s shirts will be v-neck. Robin makes a motion to spend no more than $5000.00. Eddie seconds. All approve.
BatsEddie makes a motion to purchase new USA bats for T-Ball and Machine Pitch with a budget of no more than $500.00. Christina seconds. All approve.
Misc Coaches are to return equipment at the fields on Tuesday January 30th from 5:00-6:30.
Equipment will be handed out on Saturday January 3rd from 1:003:00. A 5ft. Wind Screen needs to be replaced on the Majors Field. Robin makes a motion for a budget of $500.00. Christina seconds. All approve. Discussion to purchase new lawn mower. Proposed budget is $5,000-10,000. Eddie and Mike B. will look into quotes for Moorpark Little League sponsor cups. Meeting Adjourned at 11:32am
