INTRODUCTION The loudspeaker is responsible for the sound produced by your Droid Mini. When your speaker malfunctions or the sound is distorted, it is probably time to replace the loudspeaker.
TOOLS: iFixit Opening Tools (1) T5 Torx Screwdriver (1) Tweezers (1)

Step 1 — Back Case
Pull out the volume keys using the plastic opening tool.
Step 2
Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back case. Make sure to go around the entire perimeter of the case.

Step 3 — Loudspeaker
Use the T5 screw head to unscrew the 9 silver screws from the housing frame.
Carefully separate the housing frame from the motherboard.
Step 4
Use the tweezers to gently push the loudspeaker out of the housing frame.
