2018 RFP for CAT 2 E-Rate Equipment/Services Interested vendors, please bid all equipment and services as a separate line item. Send all questions and bids by email to the address below, by January 12, 2018 (bids will not be taken after January 12, 2018). We are governed by the limitations of state and local laws including the bidding and procurement laws set forth in the Texas School Law Bulletin. All purchases are pending E-Rate funding for internal connections. We will issue one year contracts, but reserve the right to use annual voluntary extensions, not to exceed 5 years. A walkthrough is required for bids on category two services to be considered. Potential vendors must email PRIOR to the Allowable Contract Date to SCHEDULE a walkthrough. All walkthroughs must be completed by January 8, 2018. Broadband Internal Connections (Data distribution equipment):
Approximately 3 - wireless access points with at least the following specs: Xirrus XD2-230 3x3 WAP, or equivalent compatible with the XMS, with 5 year license, quoted as yearly , with configuration, installation, and travel included. Approximately 1 -24G-PoE Switch, with GBIC ports, transceivers, and fiber patch cables/Patch panel needed to handle new wireless connections, with configuration, installation, and travel included.
Note: Quotes are for Munday Elementary campus only. Note: Access points and switches must work seamlessly with our already installed Xirrus wireless network. Note: Installer must provide test results for wireless speeds, label all cabling appropriately, provide an as-is drawing of cable runs. Note: All equipment must have at least 3 year warranty.
