NCHS CHEER BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES Sport: Cheer Date: April 18, 2016 Number of Members Present: 70 Number of Officers Present: 3 Meeting started at 7:05, called by Coach Bell Agenda Items: Welcome & Introduction of Coaching Staff  Coach David Bell – Head Coach  Coach Jolene Render- Head Varsity Basketball Coach  Coach Lindsey Harrison – Gordon - Junior Varsity Coach  Coach Katrina Toledo – Freshman Coach Expectations of Cheerleader Coach Bell reviewed team policies and the importance of being a good role model. All cheerleaders represent the school on and off the field Cautious of Social Media Activity During the season cheerleaders must be uniform ( e.g. no extreme piercing, natural hair color, etc.) Communications  Communications made using email. Make sure you give the NCHS Cheer Board your email address before leaving the meeting Practices & Games  Football practices on Mondays 3:45 – 6pm o Freshman & JV games on Thursdays o Varsity games on Friday  Basketball practice is on Mondays / Tuesdays (varies) o Freshman & JV games - Varies o Varsity games - Varies Introduction of the 2015-2016 NCHS Cheer Booster Club Board  Kelly Phillips, President  Melissa Barnhart & Leslie Mockalis are Co-Vice-President  Georgiana Belmar, Secretary  Niki McConnell, Treasurer Board Member Elections at May Booster Club Meeting scheduled for May 2nd  Email [email protected] if you are interested in running for a position Athletic Registration via ParentVue login  All physical forms for returning and new cheerleaders need to be uploaded by June 1  Instructions posted on the www.northcobbathletics\fall-sideline cheer web page Little Warrior Camp  This is a big fundraiser for the cheer program. Scheduled for the week of June 20th. 9am -12noon  All cheerleaders are asked to register 2 kids for the camp. Each cheerleader will get $5 credited to their account for each little warrior camper

Please bring all fundraising ideas to the Board for approval The current fundraiser is selling tumbler team cups. Money is due May 13. Cups will arrive the last day of school. 40% of sales will go to the individual cheerleader’s account

Budget 

Niki distributed the budget as of March 31, 2016 - $6,969.32 current amount in the account. Appx. $2500 is outstanding checks that we need to pay Estimated Costs For Cheer Squad  Niki will send out cost prior to the next meeting  Payments can be made in 5 installments. First installment will be due at the May 2016 Booster Club Meeting  Fees cover: Uniforms (don’t keep), poms, bows, bloomers, warm-ups, Booster Club dues, practice wear MEETING ENDED: 8:00 pm NEXT MEETING: Monday, May 2nd @ 7pm Coach Signature_____________________________________________
