NEW STAFF QUESTIONNAIRE What is your funniest habit?
I laugh at everything literally. I can’t help it. Even when I’m nervous or uncomfortable I laugh. I’ve gotten better as I’ve gotten older but it’s not hard to make me laugh that’s for sure!
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Megan Dishner How did you hear about Crestridge? I actually found out about Crestridge through my roommate. She was a camper here once and told me about her experiences and really encouraged me to apply. I really wanted to be a part of all that was happening at Crestridge.
If you have been a camper and/or SALT at Crestridge, how many total years have you been at Crestridge? This is my first time at Crestridge!
If you could spend a day with a person from the Bible, who would it be and why?
I would love to talk to Mary Magdalene. She was almost always around Jesus during his ministry and I would love to hear stories from her about Him that aren’t in the Bible. I feel like she and I are very similar in that Jesus has saved us both from so much and it would be nice to hear her testimony of what the Lord has done.
One time my family and I went to Bush Gardens for vacation and my sister and I went on one of the rides. The seats were difficult to get out of and the shorts I was wearing that day were a little to baggy. I was walking out of the ride without realizing that my shorts got caught on the seat. Pretty much the whole backside of my shorts ripped in half showing my underwear and all! Of course I didn’t have another pair of shorts so I sat in the nearest bathroom for half an hour until my mom found a pair of men’s swim trunks for me to wear for the rest of the day.
When I have an hour of free time, I like to...
Read, read, read, read! I love reading no matter what kind of literature and no matter what time of day.
What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?
Ride a roller coaster--I’m still trying to work up the courage, one day hopefully, Visit all 7 continents--I love traveling, and Go on a road trip to anywhere and everywhere”
Share in a few sentences what you are most excited about for summer 2014.
I am most excited about my campers. I can’t wait to build relationships and hear their stories and tell them about Jesus. I’m so excited to be able to teach them how to swim and encourage them to never give up. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in their lives this summer!
What is your greatest fear?
Roller Coasters and Heights...deathly afraid. I’m gradually moving out of my comfort zone though, maybe one day I will finally overcome them.
What was the last book you read?
I am an English major and read at least two books a week. The last book I read was the Book Thief. It’s about War World II and the Holocaust such a great book I highly recommend it!
