Wednesday Night Bible Study for Adults, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Lower Auditorium. Curtis Booher, Rich Aubrey and Larry Albrecht are leading this study on the Wednesday night that the children meet for VBS – July 27th. Everyone is welcome! ************************************************************************************************** THIS PAST WEEK, WE HARVESTED 709 POUNDS OF PRODUCE, WHICH WAS DELIVERED TO SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK. Thanks to about 20 Crossroads Kids and their moms who worked on Monday and to Harold Maupin, Jerry and Martha Williams, Rod Hensley, Rob Aubrey and a crew from the Washington Co. Sheriff’s Dept. for working on Thursday! Tuesday, July 26, we will be picking beans (round 2!) beginning at 7 a.m. Meet down at the Garden if you can help (ADULTS ONLY on this day). Bring baskets, buckets, bags! Call the church office for directions to the Garden or for more information. **************************************************************************************************
Whoever has disc #1 of the James McDonald bible study kit - When Life Is Hard, please return it to the Crossroads library. Someone is wanting to check out the kit for this study.
Next Sunday, July 31 our Children’s Ministry will host our Back to School Picnic immediately following 2nd Service at the Crossroads Pavilion. Please bring a dish or two to share to this potluck event. We will have lots of information about our new curriculum, 2016-2017 children’s ministry calendar, and tons of resources for our parents. Come tour your child’s new class and have some fun meeting new families. At 1:30 PM we will hold a parent & student info meeting for our rising 5th-6th graders interested in serving with our Young Disciples Leadership Team. As the time draws near for our kids to head back to school, we will officially promote our kids up to their new classes on Sunday, August 7. If you have a riding 7th grader, we are having a special event at Daniel & Becky Rowe’s house on Wednesday, August 3 from 6-8PM. Contact [email protected] for more details. ************************************************************************************************** Thank You to Everyone who supported Marie and me during my recent heart attack. Every prayer made a difference, every card lifted our hearts, every visit made the day brighter. Our Crossroads family carried us through. We ask that you please heed my doctor's advice and learn from my experience- if you don't feel well go get checked. It is not an inconvenience and it is not weakness. It may save your life.
