October is the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To recognize the importance of the critical health issue, Quilt’n Thyme is featuring two lines of new fabric, Quilting Treasures RIBBONS FOR HOPE and Timeless Treasures PINK RIBBONS. We have also assembled coordinating fabrics for these two lines. We will also be making announcements throughout the month of special promotions and relevant news items. To keep up to date visit our store’s FaceBook page. We are featuring the new Timeless Treasures PINK RIBBONS line and the Quilting Treasures RIBBONS OF HOPE line of fabrics (see page 2). All pink fabrics and pink fabric pre-cuts are on sale at 20% off of list price for the entire month of October (cannot be combined with any other sale, discount, or promotion).

- It’s Showtime! Quilt’n Thyme will be exhibiting at the FARM + FABRIC = FAMILY QUILT SHOW, sponsored by the Pacific Flyway Quilt Guild, on October 1st (10 am - 4 pm) at the Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th St, Colusa, California 95932. Pacific Flyway Quilt Guilds Quilt Show Features the exhibits “The Mechanical Quilts” by Lynne Pullus and Tramp Art’s “Memories to Models”; a “ten barn” special quilt exhibit from the Shasta Lily Guild’s Art Quilters; and minature farm equipment by David Wamble. One of the quilts from the Farm to Fabric competition from the Houston International Quilt Festival will also be exhibited. Raffle prizes include an Add-a-Stitch quilt which will be won that day. Drop by our booth to see what we have to offer and say hello to our staff.
This is the first issue of our new bi-weekly newsletter, Quilt’n Thyme News. It will replace both the monthly News Brief and the Quilt’n Thyme Quarterly. Projected publication of this newsletter will be around the 1st and the 15th of every month

- Sunday Surprise Classes Begin! For the months of October through December a new series of classes have been scheduled for selected Sunday afternoons, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month through December 18th. Each of these fun classes will be co-taught by Deb Portelance and Sherry Bishop. These classes are designed to get enrollees ready for the end-of-the-year holidays. Each class will focus on a new quick project that can be finished by the end of the class session. Every class and project are different and class fees will vary depending on the project. The Sunday classes for October are scheduled as follows. 10/2-SUNDAY SURPRISE-Tote Bag ( Pre-Registration closed) 10/16-SUNDAY SURPRISE-Square Aprons (Register by Oct 10.) 10/30-SUNDAY SURPRISE-PJs with Pizzaz (Register by Oct 24)
