Cross Country Running Success Elizabeth Salinas won 6th place last Friday, Sept. 16th. The Cross Country meet was held at the Lawton Soccer Fields and was sponsored by Cameron University. Athletes trudged through soggy ground and mud to complete their mile (or miles) run due to an early morning shower. We are proud of our tough athletes who stuck it out under such conditions!
Second Grade Studies Apples Mrs. Patton’s second grade class completed a variety of activities with apples this week. They began with a story of Johnny Appleseed in reading class. They incorporated the theme across subject areas and topped it off with some delicious applesauce. The class worked together to create the applesauce from scratch, cooking it in a crockpot in the classroom. The end product was stupendous! To the left Jakob Gilbert pours diced apples into the blender to create homemade applesauce.
