Dear friends and family, Well we have had one of those weeks filled with fun and laughter and also tinged with sadness. Steve conducted the funeral of a good mate on Monday, and at his funeral Darryl had requested The Lord’s Prayer (Luke 11:1-11). Apparently he would say “if it was good enough for Jesus, well it’s good enough for me.” Rather than The Lord's Prayer being the "model prayer" for our friend, he experienced it as a "life changing" prayer. I read a quote recently which says of prayer - "prayer is the steering wheel, not the spare tire". My prayer for each of us is that our praying is effective and life changing. Have a great week.
