A glimpse into the future… or at least the next few Months
the Lyme
School
Serving the Lyme Community for over 100 years
I see…. snow, but hopeful not the snowflake, call in the morning, school delaying, even more snow shoveling kind— just the snow bank getting smaller and eventually disappearing before July kind. Because I have been asked a couple times, here is how the wonderful white stuff has effected (and is not effecting) our spring:
•Snow banks will continue to hamper visibility so your cooperation with pick up and drop off is appreciated.
•Our last day is currently Thursday, June 12 which is Imagination and Knowledge still 10 days earlier than many other schools. There are currently no plans to hold school on a Saturday. They were fun though!
• Graduation will still be held on Friday, June 6th at 6:00
• Construction on the new portion of the building will continue as plan and we intend to break ground (it will literally be breaking because the yesterday test cores revealed the ground is frozen down 6 (SIX!) feet) on May 1.
While on the topic of construction… from May 1st (or whenever we manage to crack the permafrost ) to the beginning of school, the play area behind the gym extending to the drainage swale will be off limits. FortuIt is time for the 1st grade’s
nately our snow banks will likely still be higher than the Annual Save the Manatee Drive
play structure so we will have fun with them.
Isaac, grade 1 Hope everyone is enjoying the first day of Spring!!!!
