Welcome to Hutt City Salvation Army

We welcome you to Hutt City Corps. Today we have two special happenings... the dedication of Marcus Nand and our Cadets Chonny and Mike are ministering to us. The Lord longs for us to seek His help in difficulty and receive His guidance. Psalm 32 (v 6-8) says "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with my eye." I find this verse a real encouragement, and so often I need reminding - God is close. I just need to reach out to Him and trust Him in every situation. If you are struggling in your Christian walk - reach out and seek the Lord ... you will not be disappointed. Blessings Denise Crump Pastor
This Friday 6.30pm Meeting in the Youth Lounge
A 5 week course covering forgiveness, where is God when it hurts, making good choices, loving others, and prayer. Staring on Sunday 7th August 6pm Hutt City Corps Time of Worship Light Meal included NO COST!
If you have kids aged between 7-12 years old, bring them along to Generator. This is an afterschool program held on a Friday from 4pm to 5.30pm, where they will experience activities, games, God and a bucket load of fun!

CONGRESS! 29th September – 02nd October
This week marks the launch of our Self Denial Appeal. This collection for the international work of the Salvation Army will take place on Sunday 28th August and is now only 5 weeks away. Please ensure that you get the 'One Family/One Hope' handouts from the foyer of the Church.
Registration for the Mission Now Conference and Kids @ Congress are NOW LIVE. Please read the pages explaining these events BEFORE you go to register, so you'll know what options to choose. Check it all out at: www.salvationarmy.org.nz/now
For all men aged 11+ - Please mark the 16-17 September in your diaries (Fri evening and all day Saturday) so you can attend the annual lower North Island Promise Keepers event! The super discount rate is available until 24 July. To help us qualify for the group rate, contact Paul Wolstenholme on (04) 567 6152. Don’t forget ‘Just Eat It’ A chance to learn more about the problem of food waste and what you can do about it. Place: Pauatahanui Lighthouse Cinema Time: 8pm Cost: $15 Contact Liz Wolstenholme to coordinate transport and tickets.
