7:30 pm Terry Guthrie • November 17th is Family Fun Night 7pm to 9pm (Ballroom Dancing with Ms. Silvia). • December’s Family Fun Night we will have holiday activities and crafts. More information to follow. • November 15th is Stress Management Workshop for parents at 8:30am – a representative from Empire BlueCross insurance will be present. • Please use Stop and Drop on Richmond Rd. to alleviate traffic.

7:35 pm Caroline Hanna • Welcome and Pledge of Allegiance • Motion to approval October's minutes by Maggie Scarsella and motion seconded by Kerin Hilton • PTA Meetings’ Minutes are now uploaded on our school website. There is a one-month delay due to the need of approval at the next meeting. Always attend PTA meetings to have your voices are heard and to be able to vote on PTA business. • Treasurer report read. Copies are available on the table. • We raised over $7,200 at our Fall Festival. Over 1000 people attended. All money raised will be going towards extra-curricular programs for our students. • Vote to allocate $8,500 to our 3rd grade Guggenheim Residency. We have had this program for more than 10 years. PS/IS 48 is the only school on Staten Island that offer this residency to its students. Voting: 7 in favor, none opposed. Motion is carried. • World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser has ended. To date we have raised $2,800. There is still some outstanding money to be collected. Winner of the IPad is a student from class 5-1 who sold 12 boxes in total. • November 16th is a half day with dismissal at 11:20am. There are no after school clubs or after-care that day. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held from 12:20pm to 2:20pm and

from 5pm to 8pm. There are no appointments for Middle School. If unable to attend, please schedule an appointment during Parent Engagement, held every Tuesday after dismissal. Fundraising:  November 10th Yearbook Committee will be collecting Halloween candy to send to our troops in Afghanistan.  November 15th - November 17th is our Fall Book Fair during school hours. The Fair will be open during Parent Teacher conferences. There is tax on all purchases.  November 29th is Wear Purple fundraiser to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer awareness. The cost is $1 and all proceeds will go to Bella Lisa Pancreatic Foundation.  December 5th - December 7th is our Holiday Fair. Important dates read. Picture Day are coming up. You have the option to also order pictures online.

7:40pm Ms. O'Donnell • Welcomes all for coming • Thank you for voting to fund the Guggenheim Program. Also, thank you for all the fundraising. Fall festival was so much fun. • Arts Connection starts this week. JoJo will start working with K and 1st grades. Puppetry will be introduced to the 2nd grade. • 7th grade College Access started: the program is to prepare students for college and emphasis the importance of working hard to achieve their best. Our students will visit Wagner College and NYU this year. • Speaks about the green bucks students are collecting as part of implementing PBISS which is Positive Behavior Intervention Support System. Students are awarded green bucks for showing good behavior and following school rules. Every other Friday, students can cash in their bucks at the ROAR Store, or save them for a bigger prize.
