Officials
To ALL Teams/Officials WARNING that a penalty is now in effect and the conditions are as follows:
Teams late to games after the allotted grace period would be charged $100. EC dollars. Captain of team would not be allowed to play that game on the night. If captain is absent, they will miss the next scheduled game. Any team late more than 3 games would be charged $200 EC dollars. Officials would be charged $50 EC dollars for being late at each game. FIBA official rules 2014-2015 All registered players in the GrenadaHoops championship will be penalized anytime during the competition due to misconduct. Registered players are not allowed to play on two teams in the competition; that player will be ejected from the competition. If a player is found disrespecting any players, referee official/table official and any coaching staff on game night they will be penalized to two game bans. (The next step will be ejecting that player from the competition and the inability to partake for 3 years.) Any Coach disrespecting a referee official/table official will be ejected from the game immediately after being warned and will be required to write a letter of apology to the person disrespected. Failure to abide will result in immediate ejection from the championship for 1 year.
Any referee official/table official that disrespects any player or coach will be sanctioned for disciplinary correction, apology letter or ejection from championship. A team can only register 15 players max and allow 12 players to play per night. A team that rank last in Division 1 will be demoted to a Division 2 the following year. A team that ranks first in Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1 the following year. Any team can be disqualified/ ejected from competition based on player or coach conduct which displays un-professionalism or unsportsmanlike behavior. Unsportsmanlike fouls will be penalized accordingly with our officials. All teams must be there fifteen (15) mins before game time to submit team information or the other team would be awarded the win.
If a player/s is ejected from a game, they will be banned for one game.
If a player/s is ejected from a game and also conducts unsportsmanlike behavior he will be penalized accordingly by either being banned for 1 year or more. Teams must have fully uniformed and numbered shirts for all games to assist proper identification. A player has to play with a team for at least 3 seasons before switching to another team. Failure to do so in writing will result that player not playing in the GrenadaHoops competition or a fine of $500. EC.
