POST-GAME LOCKER ROOM QUOTES 2018 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament GAME 10: Friday, March 9, 2018 Final Score: #2 USC 74, #6 Oregon 54
OREGON HEAD COACH DANA ALTMAN On His Postgame Message “I’m really disappointed. Obviously, early turnovers led to some easy baskets for them. Our ball movement was not good. We took a number of bad shots. Bad shots and bad turnovers are not a good combination against a good team. We started out alright. We got the ball inside and got some easy baskets, but we took some bad shots, had some bad turnovers, and never really got back and had our defense put together. They got some easy baskets and the big lead. At the start of the second half we got some pretty good looks, but we went 0-6 to start the half, and then it kind of got away from us. The press gave us an opportunity because they turned it over a lot. We had 23 points off their turnovers and I think they had 23 points off ours, so we didn’t get an advantage there. We got killed on the boards. It just wasn’t a good game for us. It’s not the way we wanted to end the tournament. We just didn’t play very well. We didn’t really play well this tournament, but we were able to find ways to win, and tonight against a good team that was fresh and ready to play, we just couldn’t get it done.” On Neutral Court Possibly Affecting Shooting “I think some of it was shot selection. I liked some of our earlier possessions where we got it inside, and MiKyle (McIntosh) was getting in at the basket, but then they went to a zone, and really got us to stand up. Our ball movement and player movement was very poor there. I didn’t have them ready to get that movement and get in the gaps, and then when we did get in the gaps, we turned the ball over. We didn’t make strong enough plays.”

OREGON MIKYLE MCINTOSH On What Was Said Postgame in the Locker Room “It’s just tough. We wanted to win the game, we wanted to make a run and prove to everyone that we were good enough to be here and deserve to be in the position we are. We didn’t come out very strong and our effort wasn’t there today. I don’t know if we were tired or what it was, but it just wasn’t there.” On Poor Shooting Throughout the Game “We were missing some layups, missing some easy jumpers that we usually make. We tried to force the issue to make up for those, and missed those which just made it harder.” TROY BROWN Thoughts Once the Game Was Over “Honestly, Coach just kind of went over everything and talked about what we did and what we could have done better. Right now, we’re just kind of letting it soak in.” On How He Played Throughout the Tournament “It’s been a rough weekend for me, I haven’t been playing the best. I’ve been trying to contribute in other ways besides scoring, whether it was rebounding, playing defense, or making plays for my teammates.”
