Life Reflections On the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 2015, Adell Manley was called home by his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Adell was born on August 16, 1946 in Dothan, Alabama, to George Manley and Ella Manley. As a young adult, he moved to Newark, New Jersey. It is in New Jersey, where he met his wife, Helen (deceased). They married and eventually moved to Georgia, where he provided 20 years of service to the Hobart Corporation. In 2008, he and Helen relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina.

While living in Fayetteville, Adell attended the Body of Christ Christian Center, as well as Destiny Worship Center both in Fayetteville. He was a member of the Fifth Gospel Mass Choir. Adell maintained his membership at the True Born Miracle Temple in Georgia, where Apostle Richard Walthour presided. As many know, praising and singing about the Lord was what he loved to do. He had the voice of an angel.

Adell’s loving spirit, warmth, and commitment to family and friends cannot be denied. He will be greatly missed. He is predeceased by his father, George Manley, mother, Ella Manley, his wife, Helen Manley, and sisters Girdine Manley-Bean, Willie Barrow-Bynum, and Corine Manley.
Acknowledgements & Obituary
Adell leaves to cherish in his memory one daughter, Carol Staten of Newark, New Jersey, one son, James Brown of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and six grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters Vinnie Holt of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Lillie M. Barrow of Troy, Alabama, Hattie Manley of upstate New York, brothers Robert Manley of Michigan, and Ezell Manley of upstate New York, and a host of nieces and nephews. Adell also leaves behind his friend and fiancé, Brenda Knight, who provided a great deal of support and comfort before and during his illness.
