Please Join Fred in the Deli area to present any questions or concerns you may need answers to or just to shoot the breeze and get to know our new addition. Valentine’s Craft Session Wednesday, February 7th, 2:00 PM We will be using this day to create Valentine and Friendship day cards. Come join us in the activity room and see what we have to offer.
Mardi gras celebration Tuesday, February 13th, 2:00PM Mardi Gras, also known as Carnival season, came to the US from France, where it has been a tradition since the Middle Ages. It occurs on or following Three Kings Day, and is the day before Ash Wednesday. Join us in the Deli area for Happy Hour and New Orleans Jazz that is sure liven up your spirits! Don’t Miss out!
vaLentines Day “FrienDsHiP ceLebration” Wednesday, February 14th, 2:00 PM This year we’re doing things a little different! Instead of feeling obligated to bring a date or significant other bring a friend ‘cause it’s a friendship celebration!! Come take this time to show your friends how much you care for them and enjoy a magic show while you do it!! We have Louie the Magician coming in to entertain us so make sure you come join the party! We look forward to seeing you there! Library Skipping February Due to all the Monday holidays, our Library schedule is slightly different at the beginning of the year. The next visit will be on March 19th, which puts us back on to our regular 3rd Monday of the month schedule. Sorry for any inconvenience, as they try to make it fair to everyone they visit.
Interested in Joining the Book Club? Even though the Bookmobile will not be here in February, we have decided to still hold our regular Book Club activities. Some have expressed interest in joining the Book Club and we would love to have all newcomers. Just stop by the activity office and we’ll get you signed up! We meet two times a month. This Month’s dates are: Tuesday, Feb. 20th @ 2:00 PM for our WineDown and Monday, Feb. 26th @ 11:30 AM for our Luncheon.
Lunch Outing to mcDonaLD’s Monday, February 19th, 11:00 AM You spoke and we listened! Although we had a blast at our IHOP Breakfast trip, we found that it was a little spendy for our budgets, and the portions didn’t fit the price. This month we will be visiting Mickey Dees in Renton instead. Look forward to seeing you there!
Muckleshoot Bingo Wednesday, February 21st, 10:45 AM For those of you that didn’t make it to the last trip to Muckleshoot, well you’re in luck! We had so much fun last time we decided it would be well worth it to do it again!! The prices are quite reasonable and there are also slot machines in the building! So if Bingo isn’t your thing but you still want to get out of the house for a day of fun sign up soon!
Black history Celebration Friday, February 23rd, 3:00 PM Please join us at 3:00 pm in the Esperanza Activity Room as we honor Black History Month. February is a month long celebration of Black Americans who made life better for us all, in so many ways - from inventors, to leaders. Let’s acknowledge their accomplishments. We will all learn something new. There will be a speaker along with food and refreshments. The food will be southern soulful cuisine to fit this occasion. Park Place will have the same menu for dinner so that everyone can enjoy the same menu. Come out and help us celebrate, you wouldn’t want to miss it!
Tea Party Tuesday, February 27th, 12:30 PM It’s been a couple of months but our monthly Tea Party is back on. Come take Afternoon Tea with us in the activity room. It’s a laid back and informal Afternoon Tea where we enjoy refreshments and each other’s company. If you’re new to the building it‘s a great way to get to know you’re neighbors, and if your not new it’s a way to become reacquainted!
Pizza Party!! Thursday, February 22nd, 2:00 PM Unfortunately last month’s Resident Council Pizza party had to be rescheduled, but the council persevered and they’ve scheduled it for today @ 2:00 PM! Let’s Eat!! *Due to the Black History Celebration Friday the 23rd , Bingo will be held @ Park Place instead of Esperanza that day. Space is limited so please be on time if you want to play. Thank You.
