MISSION AND VALUES Our desire at Eaton Church of the Brethren is to enable every person to experience the living Christ in life transforming ways. In continuing the mission Jesus placed before His followers when He commanded them, and us, to go and make disciples, we are dedicated to four intrinsic values. These ongoing values of Experience, Connect, Grow, and Impact are interwoven and cannot be taken singly but as a four-fold approach to our call as a local expression of Christ's worldwide church.
Experience
the reality of God through Jesus
Connect
with others in a community of faith
Grow
in the knowledge of God and His Word
Impact
the world by demonstrating the love of Christ Learn more about our Mission and Values on our website!

[email protected] LENT We invite you to join us in observing Lent, which is a season of prayer and preparation in anticipation of Easter. Some might be familiar with Ash Wednesday, fasting, and the like, while for others this may be entirely new. We have an opportunity to focus together in “a time of prayer, especially penance, repenting for failures and sin as a way to focus on the need for God’s grace. It is really a preparation to celebrate God’s marvelous redemption at Easter, and the resurrected life that we live, and hope for, as Christians” (Dennis Bratcher). Join us Wednesday, February 10 , 7pm at Camden Road, for contemplative worship, communion, various stations (many particularly helpful for families), and the imposition of ashes, which is “a sign of humility before God, a symbol of mourning and sorrow at the death that sin brings into the world” (Dennis Bratcher). Individuals and families of all shapes, sizes, and ages welcome. Though we are not following a coordinated reading plan or devotional this year, we recommend that you commit to reading God’s Word each day. Just open your Bible and start reading. See our website, eatoncob.org, for some great plans.
