Parts & Service Communicator Subject: Drain Pan Elbows SYMPTOM Water drips off the rubber drain elbows onto the counter. SCOPE SV Series.
Incorrect, Gap Too Large At The Bottom
Correct, Elbow Is All The Way Back To Foam Front.
ACTION In order to function properly the rubber drain elbow installed on the cold plate drain fitting(s) must be pushed completely onto the stem. The best practice is to place the round end of the rubber drain elbow into a cup of hot water for 10 - 20 seconds. Place the round end of the elbow over the barbed stem of the drain fitting. Using the thumb and forefinger push the elbow onto the stem. Apply pressure in a circular motion until the top and bottom of the elbow are against the galvanized foam front of the dispenser.
