Personal Cell Phone Use Policy Purpose/Introduction

Personal calls during the work hours, regardless of the phone used can interfere with employee productivity and be distracting to others. While at work employees are expected to exercise the same discretion in using personal cellular phones as is expected for the use of company phones. Guidelines

Employees are to make personal calls during breaks and lunch period and to ensure that friends and family members are aware of the agency’s policy. The agency will not be liable for the loss of personal cellular phones brought into the workplace. The use of Agency telephones for personal long distance calls at expense to the Agency is specifically prohibited and the use of Agency telephone, in general for, for personal matters will be limited to a reasonable period of time as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
