Phase 1 Will each chemical and seed manufacturer accept GTIN and GLN as primary reporting identifiers? • Manufacturer still has ability to accept tech, license, or prop ids as they see fit
but retailers choosing this new standard will only have to use GTIN and GLN without a cross reference • Retail needs a single code standard: GTIN and GLN are already in use in other segments – let’s use them consistently! • GLN’s and GTINS are openly available now • Reduce – as much as possible – the reliance on proprietary identifiers

Phase 2 • Identify the differences between Seed PMR and Crop Protection PMR as the current
standards are written. • Come to a consensus for one standard on format and business rules between both
crop protection and seed pmr. • Create an Excel format of solely decided PMR standard that can be submitted as an
excel upload and accepted by the Manufacturers • Manufacturers chosen reporting path needs to accept both the excel and the PMR
standard format Collaboration for eConnectivity – Ensuring Success for the Future

Benefits to the Retailer • Most Retailers can only store one identification number for a customer and one for a
product. • Maintenance of just one database versus multiple databases and cross reference files • One file format for all reporting • Time and Cost Savings for the Retailer • IT or 3rd Party Software isn’t having to create several files
