Prayer Requests:

Chris, Lukas, Angela and Mackenzie Hiebert in Caracas,Venezuela.

In Caracas

Chris and Angela, along with their two boys Mackenzie (8) and Lukas (6), live in Caracas, Venezuela. They desire to see a house church network begin, grow and spread throughout the city. Their dream is that this house church network, led by local lay leaders, would reach their families and communities for Christ Jesus as they grow together as a house church, serve together as a house church, and reach out to the world around them as a house church. Chris & Angela's role in this bold plan is to recruit, train, and mentor the leaders of the house churches. With the blessing of the Alliance  denominational  leaders in Venezuela, Chris & Angela, along with their teammate, Kelly Dyer (Sylvan Lake, AB), are in the beginning stages of dreaming, planning and forming the grand vision. In all that they do, prayer is the priority. They are praying as they dream and plan, praying as they prepare and research, and praying as they walk the streets and meet people. They invite you to join in praying as well.

✤ Pray that Chris, Angela & Kelly grow in unity as they seek the Lord for His plans and His ways. ✤ Pray that Chris, Angela & Kelly will grow in their ability to communicate in Spanish both their love for Jesus and their house church network vision. ✤ Pray that Chris, Angela & Kelly will see and seize every opportunity to share the gospel. ✤ Pray for God to show Chris, Angela & Kelly who the leaders will be and that God would protect each relationship made. ✤ Pray for the Hiebert family as they live day to day: for protection, health, energy, marriage relationship, relationship between parents and the boys. ✤ Pray for God's protection moment by moment in this spiritually dark city. They can easily be discouraged and overcome by the feeling of isolation. ✤ Pray for Pablo, a 16year-old boy whom Chris has been building a friendship with. He's been to church once now with the Hieberts. Pray for his spiritual curiosity to grow and that he will take steps to know Jesus as Lord.

Ethnic Ministries @ PAC

Our ministry has focused on bringing Jesus to these workers and has included relational ministries, Bible Studies, internships and meeting some of the practical needs that these workers have in their lives. We also have had the privilege of travelling to Mexico on numerous occasions to serve in an orphanage and other areas.

Prayer Requests: ✤ That God would help us to see our behaviour through his eyes as we reach across cultures. ✤ That we may be awakened to the desperate need for Christ in our world in these troubled times. ✤ Pray for social revolution in China to be led by the many Christians who are suffering persecution already.

Mexicans: the Lord has been working in the hearts of the Mexican Alliance church and Bible studies. Okanagan Fall, 8 Mexicans are computing students I have the opportunity to share Bible study audio, books, English I Spanish New Testaments. First Nations: Dylan is a young native and at the age of 14 years was stealing cars and was in jail for 5 years. Now 20, he wants to change his way of life; we pray for the changes in his life through Christ. Fiesta: On August 11, approximately 30 - 40 Mexicans heard the gospel when I gave my testimony. Praise the Lord! Missions in the Future: I'm praying to share with other churches to take part in the distribution of audio with Biblical messages in different languages, since many people from all over the world come to live in Canada, many from countries prohibited from the gospel. However, many of them do not speak English, so the best way to evangelize is audio in their own language.

We take great joy in serving a growing number of e t h n i c g ro u p s t h a t c o m e t o o u r a r e a . Approximately 3500 migrant workers descend upon the Okanagan Valley each year to work in the orchards and vineyards that surround us here.

Our ministry is headed up by Grant Bogyo (along with Betty Bogyo) with assistance from Raul & Loida Garcia.
