President Kay Congratulates President Harrison With a Hug Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) President Kay Kreklau and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) President Matthew Harrison shared a hug immediately following his Installation Service at the Chapel of St. Timothy and Saint Titus, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, on September 14, 2013. Also installed in this service were other Synod officers, and elected and appointed board and commission members of the LCMS. From the opening procession to the fond farewells, God’s Word was proclaimed. Rev. Dr. Robert Bugbee, President of Lutheran Church—Canada offered this advice in his sermon, “Never let up on preaching Christ crucified to long-time believers, unbelievers, and to ourselves, so that we might be believable servant-leaders whose work has real significance and the help of God’s Holy Spirit.” Bright sunshine and pleasantly cool autumn breezes welcomed worship-goers as they enjoyed the reception in the Seminary Quadrangle after the service. “It was a day of celebration,” President Kay said, “another gift from God!”
