We will focus on practical solutions to common challenges and gain expert advice and guidance from leading professionals and school-based practitioners. At every meeting we will strive to

Agenda 1.00-1.30: Arrival and lunch. Welcome from Claire Eidam (SLE)
1.30-2.30: Expert practitioner input Di Hatchett (independent consultant and expert adviser) will talk about developing reading comprehension. She will offer advice for children who are struggling with this skill. Di is one of the series editors of Project X CODE and Project X Comprehension Express.
2.30-2.45 Network discussion Open discussion about the talk and current issues in English.
2.45-3.30: Writing Claire will look at progression of skills in writing and look at the expected standard at Y2 and Y6.
