Bulletin 2 Events Come and find out some of the ways that you could help to make a positive and tangible difference to the Verulam School community. Verulam PTA already makes a difference by:
* Providing refreshments and a friendly welcome at official school events * Giving you the opportunity for an evening out with friends, or a chance to get to know other Verulam parents through a variety of social events * Raising significant funds which allow the school to provide additional opportunities and facilities which are not affordable from the school budget. Unfortunately, there is no magic group of parents always available to organise and run all that we would like to do. It is, in reality, a juggling act for us all, fitting in our PTA roles and activities around other work and family commitments and just generally busy lives. So, come and join the discussions. Find out how you could help to spread the load. No major commitments involved (honest!), just an hour or so here and there that’s all that is needed—you don’t have to volunteer for every event. Every extra helper helps! No need to notify anyone, just turn up on the evening. We look forward to seeing you there! Beverley Szczech, PTA Chairman

OCTOBER Friday 17th Year 7 Quiz Night Tuesday 21st PTA Meeting (Bradshaw Building) NOVEMBER Saturday 22nd Winter Fair
Many thanks to everyone that donated cakes for the recent open morning. There was a fantastic atmosphere at the school and the refreshments were very popular. Also, thanks to the parents that volunteered to serve refreshments on Saturday morning. Kate Newton PTA Open Morning Planner
