The Eventer’s Challenge is a “Derby” style competition with a section of 6 - 8 show jumps leading straight onto 5 - 7 efforts over cross country fences and finishing over a show jump. Competitors will go straight from the show jumping into the cross-country phase, so a Back Protector must be worn for the entirety of the course. The maximum heights are 80cm and 95cm. The optimum time is based on the respective speeds of SJ and XC/per minute at each level. These classes will run as per SJ Table A Article 237. Faults at obstacles will be based on usual SJ and XC faults. The optimum time will not be disclosed, competitors should judge their speed accordingly. Terms and Conditions 1. 2.

Rules are based of ESNZ Eventing rules – this includes horse tack and rider attire for SJ. Back protectors must be worn and Back Number Holders. Back numbers will be available for collection from the office on the day. Back number holders will be available for hire $10 refundable deposit to be paid. The classes will run in Blackboard order. Teams are nominated on the day. Riders may belong to more than one team, but on individual mounts nominating their counting score class before the class commences. Each team may contain four riders with the best 3 scores to count. The organizing committee of Eventing Auckland Inc. reserves the right to make any changes/amendments to the competition or rules. Competitors and horses are not required to be ESNZ registered. Entries to be made on Equestrian Entries, www.equestrianentries.co.nz Entries close Wednesday 7 December 2016. Late entries or entries on the day will incur a $10 late entry fee per horse entered Mounted prize giving for all winning combinations – individual and teams. Places to 10th place in Classes 8 -11, Class 12 - Teams Competition places to 3rd. SJ attire must be worn for prize giving and sponsors photographs. Any rider who does not attend prize giving will forfeit their prize. Refunds less 20% if notified before 7pm on 7th December 2016.
