beg — beginning BO — bind off CO — cast on dec — decrease EOR — every other row est — established inc — increase K — knit mm — millimeters P — purl patt — pattern prev — previous PSSO — Pass Sliped Stitch Over rem — remaining rep — repeat rib — ribbing sl — slip stock — stockinette st(s) — stitch(es) tog — together
Back: With red and smaller size needles, CO 46(48-5254) sts loosely. Work 10 rows in K1, P1 rib. At end of last row, inc 1(1-0-0) st: 47(49-52-54) sts. Change to larger size needles and work in stock st (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until piece measures 6(61/2-71/2-81/2)" from beg or 1" less than desired length to underarm. Change colors. With cream continue in stock st to desired length to underarm, ending by working a purl row. Armhole Shaping: Rows 1 and 2: BO 3 sts, work in est patt across. Change colors. With red complete Back. Rows 3 and 4: Work even in est patt. Raglan Shaping Row 1 (dec row): K1, sl 1, K1, PSSO, knit across to last 3 sts, K2 tog, K1. Row 2: Purl across. Rep Rows 1 and 2 of Raglan Shaping 9(10-11-12) times. Place rem 21(21-22-22) sts on holder. Front: Work same as Back. Sleeve (make 2): With red and smaller size needles, CO 26(28-30-32) sts loosely. Work 10 row in K1, P1 rib. At end of last row, change to larger size needles. Inc Row: Inc in first st, knit across to last st, inc in last st. Beginning with purl row and repeating Inc Row every 2(2-21/2-21/2)" twice more, work in stock st until piece measures approx 71/2(8-9-10)" from beg or desired length to underarm: 32(34-36-38) sts. Armhole and Raglan Shaping: Work same as Back. Place rem 6 sts on holder.
