Board Reports President ● No report at this time. Will discuss during Old/New Business Vice President ● No report at this time. Secretary ● No report at this time ● Motion to approve last month's meeting minutes. Approved by H. Walter, second by T. Shaffer Treasurer ● Tara reported financials on Tammy’s behalf. ○ We had $1,536.62 in total revenue and $3,695.68 in expenses this month. Current Checking balance is $12,155,18, Current Uniform Savings is $3,000. Current Equipment Saving is $1,000. Total accounts is $16,155.18 ● The above numbers do NOT include our online Yankee Candle Fundraiser. (Roughly another $1000 will be deposited). Lax Coordinator ● Season moving along nicely. Keep an eye on weather for practices/etc...

MEETING MINUTES  ● Upper level teams are facing some challenges now that we have moved them up to the A level. However, it is good for them to understand and moves them towards the expectations at the school level. LVYLL Rep ● Was unable to attend league meeting this past Tuesday but reviewed the minutes. ● LVYLL Board members are unhappy with vast goal differential in games. Teams are aware that they are awarded points for wins, and that if two teams have the same record/amount of points it will go to goal differential which is causing some teams to run up the score. Because of this the league has set a maximum of 5 points towards the goal differential. Any goals scored over the 5 will not be counted in regards to points towards playoffs. ● Playoffs are tentatively slated to begin Sunday, May 21, 2017. (Side note there is a U15 game scheduled for that day which we are awaiting Easton to confirm the reschedule date) ● Age structure is set to change next year (ie. U7 will be U6, will add U8…. U15 will be U14…..etc) ● www.uslacrosse.com has the athletic development model used in making this decision on their website. The model breaks down age/skill level expectations for all. Girls Lax Liaison ● Not present/No report Coaches Updates Coach John/U7 ● No show game on Saturday. Moving forward, he will confirm all games with coaches prior to the game. ● Reminder to all about Code of Conduct. Parents are not to be addressing the referees for any reason. ● Suggestion to purchase/use “SWAX” balls for indoor clinics/winter workouts. ● Suggestion to hold fall intramural sessions. The board is applying for a grant to help fund this. Discussion on having high school boys help ref the younger teams. Coach Chris/U13 ● Team is working through challenges and progressing.

MEETING MINUTES

Old Business ● Fan Gear - we will re-open the online store on Saturday 5/6/17 and it will remain open for one week. We will have a display only table of fan gear at Family Fun Day to help promote online sales. All families who purchase will have to pay direct shipping. ● Pictures went well. New Business ● By Law Change/Vote CURRENTLY READS:

“All coaches must agree to submit to a criminal background investigation (valid for 1 year) and child abuse history (valid for 1 year) clearance prior to being allowed to coach or work with youth enrolled in PVYA programs. Refusing to submit to a criminal background and child abuse history clearance removes that candidate coach from consideration for coaching any PVYA team.”

MEETING MINUTES

WILL NOW READ:

“Criminal background checks & child abuse clearances for all board members, coaches and team parents must be performed and submitted according to the State of Pennsylvania’s Rules & Regulations.”

Unanimous Vote to approve. Changes will be made ASAP.

● Family Fun Day * Flyer/invitation will go out to all mid-late this week * Signup.com will be posted ASAP for this event. Many work bond points available. * All day event. (Set up @ 9:30, Clean up @ 5:30, Games run 11-4) * Stadium/concessions must be fully cleaned before we leave for the day.

● Fundraising * Yankee Candle - online sales open until July. Reminders will be sent. * Mom lax shirt sale. Sample will be sent - hope to place order and have in time for Mother’s Day.

● End of year party - save the date - 6/9/17. Questions/Concerns ● Raffle tickets - to be submitted by end of year party NOT Family Fun Day ( $50 gift card entry to anyone who sells an extra pack of raffle tickets) ● Senior Night/Grizzlies Night Out - originally scheduled for 4/29/17. CANCELLED. (Senior night is now 5/2 -you are welcome to attend, however, it is NOT Grizzlies Night) ● Rita’s Night - TBD due to scheduling conflict. ● Coaches gifts to be decided upon by team moms and handed out the end of year party.
