Quilt Your Own Placemats or??

Quilt Your Own Placemats or?? How about quilting all the fabric before you cut and bind your next set of placemats? With two yards of coordinated fabric and a yard of batting, you have the recipe for beautifully quilted placemats for yourself or as a gift for a friend. At the SewingCircle we can offer our Gammill longarm quilter, Bella, and one of her managers to help you though the quilting process. Or you might try free-motion quilting on your sewing machine to quilt the fabric. After the fabric is quilted, cut out 4 reversable rectangle or oval placemats, apply a binding and you are finished! When choosing the oval shape you may have enough fabric left to make a couple of hotpads. If placemats are not your specialty, think about quilting some fabric for that vest or jacket on your next project list. The possibilities are endless and beautiful! Enjoy, Sally Niemann
