Look Up Lodge Kid’s Camp: August 4-7, 2017. Kid’s Camp will be loading up and leaving from the church Friday, August 4 th. We will begin loading at 11:30. All kids need to eat a good lunch before coming to the church and wear the ORANGE Kids in the Crosswalk shirt OR just an orange shirt they may already have. Carrie must have health forms returned to her BEFORE the kids leave on Friday. We will return to church on Monday at noon. Please make arrangements to pick your child up. Thank you! Perry. Prayer Shawl Meetings: Every 2 nd and 4th Tuesday of the month @ 6:30 pm. (August 8 th & August 22 nd) 2017 Missions Celebration Sunday: Please mark your calendar for September 10 th for our Mission Celebration Sunday. We will celebrate our mission’s involvement for 2017 and receive a special offering toward our mission trips for 2018. Our goal is $20,000. We have received $6,513.00. Grief Share’s next meeting will be Tuesday, August 15 th @ 6:00 10 th.
Silver Warriors: August meeting will be Thursday, August Meet at the church at 10:30 for devotion followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Nominating Committee Report: The report will be passed out next Sunday, August 6 th and we will vote August 13 th following the evening service. Scott Burrell, Steve Compton, John Campbell and the church staff served on this committee. We appreciate their work. Youth News: Student Lock-In and Tubing trip – August 11 th. Cost will be $10 per person. Meet at the church at 8:30 am. Lunch and dinner will be provided. For the Lock-in you are asked to bring games, pillow, and blankets. Guys – bring salty snacks. Girls – bring sweets. If you have any questions regarding this, or any youth activities or events, please contact Tim @ (864) 280-0171 or Hannah @ (828) 8084242. Several of our electronic components were hit by lightning on July 4 th. Thank you for your patience as we continue to have these things repaired or replaced. This year the Foothills Crisis Pregnancy Center is having its annual golf Tournament in September. We are doing a church challenge with Foothills church to see who can raise the most money to save babies lives. We will have a collection bottle at the front of the church from now until September. Please put your loose change, or currency, in the bottle. Let’s impact Oconee County and make a difference in the lives of these women in crisis. Please see Troy McJunkin if you have any questions.
