If you have signed up to attend the marriage retreat you need to see Glenda Jones and pay your $50.00 deposit. Prayer Shawl Ministry: Will meet on Tuesday, September 15 @ 6:00 in the Fellowship hall - meal will be provided for this first meeting. Our regular monthly meetings will start at 6:30 and begin on Tuesday, September, 29 th.

Help Wanted - We are in need of workers for the 2015-2016 Good News Club school year. This is every Monday from September through March and lasts for 2 hours (around 20 weeks total). Good News Club - Mandatory training at Taylors First Baptist on Saturday, August 29. Please mark your calendars. Anyone willing to help please see Donna Burrell. Chronological Bible Storying Conference – August 23 – 26: Sunday at 6:00 and Monday through Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Nominating Committee Report: Last week the Nominating Committee recommendations for the new church year (September 2015 – August 2016) were made available. The church will vote on this report TODAY following the evening service. Silver Warriors August Meeting – Thursday, August 13 @ 10:30. Meet at the church for devotion with lunch to follow at a local restaurant. Deacon Nominations: Carl Lee and Joey Woolbright are the nominations for deacon. Walt Fisher will be rotating off this year. The church will elect one man to serve. The church will vote next Sunday, August 16, following the evening service. Nursery & Preschool News: The children will promote to their new Sunday school class on Sunday, August 30. The room is dependent on their age on September 1. This is followed according to the school district to keep them with the kids they would attend school with. We will be having a special baby dedication Sunday September 13th. We have had many babies born within the last year and we will recognize them during one service. If you would like to be involved in the dedication service, please see Stacy Cain. Please bring with you all birth information: full name, birthdate, weight, time, length and parents names. Please do this as soon as possible so we can get a New Testament baby bible for the service. We will do this again in the spring.

Mission News: Tanzania Missions: Bro. Perry will be leaving tomorrow to teach at a Spiritual Leadership Pastor’s Conference in Tanzania. Thank you for giving to this mission endeavor. Because of your faithfulness the financial goal has been met! Attention Sunday School Classes – The Children’s Ministry committee has gotten together and decided to do something different this year for the kids. We are wanting to give each child in our church a bag with some back to school supplies in it. However; if we could get some donations for the supplies, we would be so thankful. We will be giving these out on August 15. Any money or supplies need to be turned in before that day to Tara Skelton or Stacy Cain. If you have any questions you may see them as well.
