For the next several weeks, we will work on holiday theme related activities. We will learn about Hanukkah, Christmas, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. If you would like to come in and make a craft or share a tradition about your holiday, we would love to have you visit. Just jot me a note about a time that is good for you. We are so very proud of our Primary 1 students. They are kind, thoughtful and very caring. Recently, we wrote our wishes for the world on our dreidels, and they are wonderful. Please stop by and read. We made mini piñatas and read both non-fiction and fiction stories about Las Posadas. This week we will focus on reading about Christmas and making theme related crafts. We will have a small class celebration on Thursday, December 21st. We will also have a grab bag exchange. Letter to follow.
Message: Starting this Friday a child will be chosen to take home our class stuffed animal and journal. When your child is chosen please put the date and write a short sentence or two about the animal’s adventure at home for the weekend. On Monday your child will share their journal entry. You can put photos in the book or have your child draw a picture for each entry. Please encourage your child to write the sentence(s). If they become frustrated you are welcome to write for them.
