SVP goes beyond philanthropy. “Our community faces big problems. And it will take money and all of us working together to solve them. SVP Minnesota Partners invest time, money, and skills in local nonprofits. And we are part of an international network of 3500+ givers, volunteers, leaders, and changemakers. The SVP network has given more than $54 million and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to more than 700 nonprofits since 1997. Visit svpmn.org to learn about our work in the Twin Cities.”
2014 was arguably the most successful and impactful year in the history of SVP Minnesota. Over the course of the year, we welcomed 12 new partners to our growing movement of engaged philanthropists. With the addition of project teams from Meristem, our first Corporate Partner, and Houlihan Lokey, our newest Philanthropic Partner, our partnership now consists of 102 individuals committing their time, talents and resources as we work together to address the needs of at-risk youth in our community. The growth in our partnership has allowed us to greatly amplify our impact. In 2014, we invested $127,500 to support the growth of five investees, including new relationships with Breakthrough Twin Cities, Reve Academy, and the North 4 Project. But as these organizations can attest, the value received from SVP extends well beyond the dollars, and I encourage you to read about our capacity-building work throughout this report. To my fellow partners that give so generously of themselves in support of the missions and causes we hold dear, I thank you. The work we do together is truly making a difference for our community. If you’re reading this report as a potential partner, please join us. While your contributions as a partner will certainly help change the trajectory of life for countless high-potential youth in the Twin Cities, I think you will quickly discover the life most changed is your own. Make 2015 the year you become an SVP partner. Thank you. Jeff Tollefson 2014 Chairman, SVP Minnesota
SVP is positioned for continued growth in 2015. Building on the momentum of the past several years, we are ready to do more and give more so that our nonprofit partners can increase their impact faster and more intentionally. Ultimately this makes for a stronger community with greater access to opportunities for the youth served by current and future investees. The leadership and professional contributions of Pam Langseth, exiting Executive Director, over the past two years have reinforced our organizational foundation which will enable us to continue to fulfill our mission to support at-risk youth. Our impact in the community – in collaboration with our investees – is a result of the dedicated and engaged people who compose our partnership. I am grateful to each of our partners, investees and other community supporters – and look forward to continuing on our path of success, impact and engagement. In order to expand the positive impact of SVP and our investees, we need to continue to encourage individuals and organizations to join us in this transformative work. If you or someone you know is passionate about supporting at-risk youth, please join us for a partner meeting, contact one of our current partners or visit www.svpmn.org to learn more. Think of impact that we will have by working together to strengthen our community. Eric Jackson Chairman, SVP Minnesota

Organizational Impact / Contributing to a Stronger Community
Invest for impact, support for growth It’s that simple. Things like sound financial systems and up-to-date technology can mean the difference between reaching 500 or 5,000 people. SVP works with nonprofits for several years, strengthening all of the behind-the-scenes systems that help take their work – and impact – to the next level. Over the past year, SVP Minnesota has developed investee workshops to address common challenges of organizations looking to build their impact. Through the workshops, investees have enhanced their development capabilities by creating prospectuses to showcase their programs and growth plans, expanding fundraising strategies and developing targeted marketing campaigns.
