40 Days for Life The mission of this campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40-day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism to end abortions. During the campaign, St. Anthony parishioners have the opportunity to peacefully pray with others at Planned Parenthood in Fayetteville. There they pray for the mothers contemplating an abortion, for those who have had an abortion, and for the babies who did not have the opportunity to be born. For more information about the international campaign, please refer to the 40 Days for Life website. Life Care Pregnancy Center Located in Carthage, Life Care Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered ministry that promotes the sanctity of human life and provides assistance to individuals and families who are facing an unplanned or crisis-related pregnancy. The Center provides Christian direction, compassionate care, and accurate information to those seeking assistance. St. Anthony’s participates in a baby bottle drive to raise funds to support the services provided by Life Care Pregnancy Center. March for Life Every year on January 22, the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, a bus provides transportation for St. Anthony’s members who attend the march in Washington, DC, praying for an end to abortion. Prior to the march, members of the Raleigh and Charlotte diocese attend Mass, co-celebrated by Bishop Burbidge and Bishop Jurgis at the National Basilica. We also provide a bus for the youth to attend the NC March for Life in downtown Raleigh and the Love My Life Youth Rally. Project Rachel Project Rachel ministry assists women and men who have been wounded by abortion to find truth, reconciliation, and spiritual healing.
