Rules & regulations regarding flying Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in the Armory Track & Floor are below. UAV’s are only allowed during predefined times assigned by the Coordinator of the Armory Track & Floor and when the facility is reserved for exclusive access for the sole purpose of UAV flying. Dates are scheduled around special events in the facility or other events on campus as staffing allows. Available dates will be provided by the facility coordinator (contact info at the bottom) as they become available. Facility Rules & Guidelines  UAV Pilots are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any University property damaged or destroyed.  The facility is provided “as is.” Track & field equipment or other miscellaneous objects will not be moved to accommodate flying sessions.  All spectators should sit along the perimeter of the facility to avoid risk of injury from a UAV.  The large foam pads and sand pits are off limits to all attendees.  Food and drink other than water is not allowed in the facility.  The facility is not responsible for any UAV that gets caught in an area out of reach or that is damaged due to colliding with an object or another UAV flown in the facility.  Room 190 is the only entrance/exit of the Armory Track & Floor. All equipment should be brought through this entrance. Special accommodations will not be made to bring in equipment though any other entrance. Please do not exit any other doors in the facility except in an emergency. Membership Rules & Guidelines  UAV pilots must have an active AMA membership with the exception of U of I students affiliated with a university RSO.  Waiver forms are required to be on file for all pilots intending to fly. Waiver forms are available at the front desk and included on page 2 of this document.  Pilots must pay the $3 daily fee on each date scheduled, have an active Armory Track & Floor membership, or have an “Authorized” I-card (Requires payment of the Student Service Fee).  Non-flying visitors are allowed access at no charge and will be considered spectators.  A spectator participating in any flying activity constitutes the payment of the $3 daily fee or an appropriate membership.  Current U of I students with an authorized I-card are allowed to fly as long as they possess a valid AMA membership or are affiliated with a university RSO.  Pilots & spectators are allowed to enter no more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Flying Rules & Guidelines  Flying is only allowed at the designated days & times.  Scheduled dates & times are subject to change at the discretion of the facility coordinator.
