30 September 2015 Dear Parents/Carers School Bus Passes All students using the school bus services are issued with a school bus pass which shows their name, photograph and number of the service that they use most frequently. The passes must be carried at all times as students are required to show them to staff when boarding buses at the end of the school day. These encourage our students to conduct themselves well on these services and help to avoid overcrowding. Any student not conducting themselves well will have their pass taken from them and will not then be allowed to use the school buses. Please note that there is no vehicle access to Newbridge Avenue at any time of the day. The gates will be opened only to allow buses to enter and they will be closed immediately the last bus is through. All buses will be at the relevant bus stops by 15.30. There will be no specific order in which these buses will be parked so students will need to check they are embarking on the correct service; staff will be on hand to assist students. All buses will depart at 15.55 at the latest: The 713 and 794 will leave from S. Peter’s One 711 and one 714 will leave from S. Peter’s One 711 and one 714 will leave from the turning circle The 794A will leave from the turning circle All school buses will leave the site via the Compton Road entrance. The 711 bus is primarily available for students who have to catch another bus from the city centre to make their onward journey home. Compton Park is well served by the number 1 and 10 routes into and from town and we would encourage our intermittent 711 and 713 passengers to use these services when appropriate. Parents are asked not to drive onto the Campus to dropoff or collect students. A number of cars are parked half on the road and half on the path. This forces students to walk on the road, putting them at risk. The safety of your sons and daughters is our prime concern. If your son/daughter will be using the school bus service please complete and return the attached slip to the school office. Yours faithfully
