In September, a group of parishioners visited the Keiffers, and shared a potluck lunch. Mel’s daughter, Kristi, was there too. That’s Toby on Mel’s lap.

Jackie’s daughter, Gwendolyn, was temporarily forced from her West Palm Beach home during Hurricane Irma. We were happy to have her visit us at St. MM.

Dale and Andrea hold the prayer shawl which they had especially made for Diana Bloom, a relative with terminal cancer. Father Bob blessed the shawl during the morning worship service, as the congregation prayed for peace and blessings for Diana.

Ruth Miner’s daughter and grandson, Jessica and Finnegan, visited us in September. Finnegan reminded us how precious our little ones are, as he quietly added wonderful sounds during the worship service, making our hearts glad.

Every Tuesday Morning – Healing & Intercessory Prayer, 11:00 a.m. October 1 – Animal Blessing following morning worship service, 11:30 a.m. October 2 - Crafters and Artists Meet (First Monday of each month) 10:00 a.m. We are now preparing for the Merry Market October 8 – The Rev. Mary Curtis, Preacher and Celebrant October 16 --Vestry Meeting, 7:00 p.m. – (Third Monday of each Month) - All Are Welcome! October 19 – Movie/pizza night, 4:30 p.m. October 27– Articles for the November Newsletter are due. See Phyllis Olson

The choir has begun the fall/winter season. Consider joining us.

Animal Blessing will follow the Worship Service, Oct. 1, 11:30, allowing time for parishioners to go home to fetch their pets. We continue our monthly movie/pizza night, the third Thursday of each month. Movie starts at 4:45. Pizza arrives around 6:00. It’s a happy time, with great fellowship, and an entertaining movie. Next movie night: Oct. 19. Join us.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* Julia Poisson, Literacy Council Site Coordinator St. MM hosts Literacy Council’s Student Celebration On Aug. 29, our church hosted a year-end celebration of the Literacy Council’s reading program. All students were presented certificates of achievement by Julia Poisson, Seven Lakes site coordinator (also our Senior Warden). We commend Julia for her leadership and dedication to this loving outreach, and we say a hearty thank you to her and the other teachers who offer reading instructions to adults.
