The Savant Server (SVR-4500-00/SVR-4500S-00) Quick Reference Guide provides information necessary to install the SVR-4500/SVR-4500S. Both Savant Servers have Apple® Mac mini® Installation Kits with the following contents.

NOTE: If the SVR is a master host, both a license and an Internet connection are required during initial deployment. Refer to the Savant Runtime Licensing Application Note (009-0852-00). Optional Accessories The view (below) shows the SVR-4500 mounted with a rack—RCK-3000 (front access and removable faceplate, sliding trays, and mounting brackets)— and an RCV-3000 (top cover). The open shelf design allows for proper ventilation and easy wiring.

CAUTION: Do not block the intake and exhaust vents on the bottom and back of the SVR-4500/SVR-4500S. This will affect performance and could result in damage to the equipment.

Power Management Recommendations Savant recommends a pure sine wave uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with the ability to shut down the SVR-4500/SVR-4500S before the battery runs out of power. Never remove power from the SVR-4500/SVR-4500S before shutting it down.
