SAVE A LIFE FREE Narcan Training* What is NarcanTM? Narcan (naloxone) is an opiate antidote. Opioids include heroin and prescription pain pills such as oxycodone, codeine and morphine. Narcan is a prescription medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses and overdose.
Who can be prescribed NarcanTM? Trained individuals are allowed to possess and administer Narcan to a person having an overdose.
This event is funded in whole by grant # 1H79TI080253-01 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).
