SOUTH DAKOTA WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION STATE YOUTH WRESTLING TOURNAMENT Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th, 2017
Location: Rushmore Plaza Civic Center- Ice Arena, 444 N Mt. Rushmore Road, Rapid City, SD. Weigh-Ins: Friday, March 24th 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm (MST) Saturday, March 25th 6:00 am – 7:00 am (MST)
Saturday Schedule: 8:00am- Welcome – Kevin Phillips. Immediately following Tots, Bantams, Midgets, & Girls will wrestle through 4th round wrestle backs. Placing rounds to be wrestled on Sunday. Any weight classes of (5) or less will finish on Saturday. 1:00pm (approx.) - Novice, Schoolboy, & Cadets will begin wrestling immediately following the conclusion of the first four divisions listed above on their mat. Novice and Schoolboy divisions will wrestle through the 4th round of wrestle backs. All Cadets will finish on Saturday. All groups of (5) or less will finish on Saturday.
Sunday Schedule: 8:00am – Lineup for Parade of Champions 8:15am - Parade of Champions place winners and state qualifiers wishing to participate. Wrestlers will line up and enter by town. Clubs are encouraged to bring team banners. 8:45am- Speaker- Seth Gross SDSU Approximately 9:00am - Placing matches start with Tot division.
Ticket Office Hours: Friday 4pm – 8pm Saturday 6am – 3pm (doors open @ 7am) Sunday 7am – 1pm (doors open @ 7am)
Entry, Admissions, & Coaches Fees: Wrestler $15 each for qualified participant Adults $15 per day or 2 Day Pass $25 Students $5 per day or 2 Day Pass $8 Coaching Fee $50 each with AAU Card/SDWCA Stamp, fee includes band and 2 Day pass. (No Stamp = $60) Additional Notes: Entry, Admission and Coaches fees payable to: SD AAU. Wrestlers will wrestle on the same mat Saturday. Sunday placing mats will be published in the program. All Cadets and groups of (5) or less will finish on Saturday. All athletes/coaches shall have purchased their AAU card prior to this tournament.
