Here is a template for you to use when emailing or writing to your senator and representative to let them know that you will be visiting the Capitol on March 13. Use the Iowa Legislative District Finder on the Homeschool Iowa Capitol Day registration form to find your Iowa representative and Iowa senator – and their contact information. Then, copy and paste this template to create your message. Replace “Representative/Senator _____” with your senator’s last name preceded by the title “Senator” when you are emailing your senator. Replace “Representative/Senator _____” with your representative’s last name preceded by the title “Representative” when you are emailing your representative. Include your name and address beneath the closing at the bottom. Please send your message no later than 1 week before the event. We encourage you to put [email protected] in the “copy to” line when you send your emails.
