Sewing Tailoring Club Learning to sew with all the secrets and detailing of high fashion tailoring Project #6: we will cover Pants fitting and sewing pressures Sewing techniques for different sections of the pants Steps to sew efficiently a pair of pants Waist band Invisible or regular Zipper Hemming different types and styles Hem by regular sewing machine using the appropriate foot Supplies:  Serger Machine 3 or 4 threads (up and running, clean and serviced, with new needles)  Sewing machine straight stiches (up and running, clean and serviced, with new needles)  Sewing machine feet:  Regular straight stich foot  Invisible zipper foot  Standard zipper foot  Rolled hem foot for straight stich sewing machine  Notions  Measuring tape only (no rulers to measure curves)  Tailor chalk; white or blue  Box of pins we are going to need a lot of them for fittings, please bring a new box  Hand sewing needles minimum 4  Basting thread (it is white cone of cotton thread)  Thimble if you want  Fabric scissors  Paper scissors  Pattern paper 1 roll of 10 yard for the entire year  Thread trimmer  Seam ripper  Thread s matching the color of your fabric  Wash away Wonder Tape  Wonder Clips small  Fray check  Sewer’s aid  Kwik Sew K3363 misses K3482 plus size  Fold & Fuse Waistband Interfacing*  Zipper according to pattern recommendation      

½ yard of any fabric to learn different sewing’s applications. ½ yd. interfacing iron on

Note: Bring your pants cut and put it together with basting stiches (by hand or machine) ready to do a fitting and sew (We are not designing a style, cutting patterns or fabric in class) Teacher will provide handouts when it is need it. Teacher is Orchid Rogers
