7/8 yard of 4 bright fabrics (2)-1/4 yard light blacks (2)- 1/8 dark blacks 1 1/2 yard blacks for borders, backing and bindings-same as dark blacks Use either strip pack or cut your own stripsyou will need (20) 2 1/2” Zip lock bags numbered #1—#7 Binding clips Batting 52 x 52-not needed for class
sewing machine (with pedal & cord) and basic sewing supplies. An Add-a-Quarter ruler is helpful. A rotary cutter with sharp blade and mat is needed for each student. We will supply irons and boards. Scotch tape is also handy to have for this class and don’t forget your seam ripper. Fabric choices work well in batiks-but good quality cotton fabric also give great results. Our classroom includes a microwave and fridge for snacks. The class will not stop for lunch-but each may take lunch time as needed. Bring plenty to drink-it is a long day!
