Trustee Advisory Services
Trustee Advisory Services
Trustees are tasked with making the right decisions at the right time, based on the information and advice they have been given. Pension schemes are no longer working to an indefinite time horizon, where a check once every three years to ensure that funding plans are broadly on track is sufficient. Changes in funding requirements and volatile investment markets have meant that trustees are increasingly looking to implement decisions around investment strategy, contribution levels and risk mitigation. All advice is focused on reducing risk and inefficiencies and attaining a stable state without large fluctuations in funding deficits, contribution requirements or fee levels. We see it as our role to equip the trustees to question and analyse the information given by the pension scheme advisers to make timely and effective decisions. We keep trustees up to date with changing legislation and regulation and how it will affect the pension scheme and its members. Allowing the trustees to plan for the future and negotiate successfully with the sponsoring employer.
“Effective trustee advice responds to the individual circumstances of the trustees and the pension scheme.”
