About the Kiwanis Club Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child, one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that is dedicated in helping children. Over the course of the last decade the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green has raised and donated nearly a half-million dollars to various children’s charitable organizations including Boys and Girls Club, CASA, Community Education, Family Enrichment Center, Junior Achievement, Kids on the Block, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, BG/WC Welfare Center for Teens, Capital Arts Alliance, Light of Chance, the Kiwanis International Foundation and the list goes on.

Bowling Green has a long history of Soap Box Derby Racing, in the past it was a hair raising event held on treacherously steep College Street. After a long dormancy, the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club with the help of Branch Bank & Trust (BB&T) revived our local race in 1998. 1998 - Largest new race city in the history of the national organization. 1999 - Largest increase in participations
