12th October 2016 No 5 Dear Parent/ guardian Year 2 – 6 classes It is very important that if a child is late, they are dropped at the main entrance and not accompanied to the class by a parent or guardian. This is to ensure the health and safety of pupils and staff. If you need to leave a message please do so with Mrs Jones who will pass it on. Teaching and learning is in progress! Keep Our School Safe At St Francis, we welcome all visitors to our school. We will act to ensure it remains a safe place for pupils, staff and all other members of our community. If parents and guardians have concerns we will always listen to them and seek to address them. However, please be aware, that abusive, threatening or violent behaviour will not be tolerated in this school. Any visitors behaving in this way are likely to be removed from the premises and prosecuted. The school works in conjunction with Cardiff City Council, Central South Consortium and South Wales Police in this matter. Dogs It is particularly important that dogs are not brought to school at any time. The school follows the Council’s policy on dogs on school premises. There have been a number of cases in the newspapers and on television recently where children have been attacked by dogs. We want to keep our children safe.
